What information will we be collecting?

We will be able to collect and store information comprising the following:- name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, social media contacts, subscription requests, post code, age range. We will also collect and process certain health information which is when you complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PARQ) and your emergency contact details. Where purchases are made via our website, we will also store details of the products purchased by customers.

Will I get sent information from GetMeFit that I did not ask for?

No, when you supply us with your e-mail address you choose what information you wish to receive. You will only receive information that you request using the subscription software.

Who else will have access to the information?

The information will only be accessed by our staff with the exception of

  1. Your PARQ which may be shared with the Instructors whose classes you have booked (but only on request from that trainer, this information is not generally accessible).

  2. Your address and emergency contact information which will be shared with the instructors whose classes you book onto so they can offer you assistance in the unlikely event you will need it.

The information will not be shared with other web sites to which links may be provided from our web site. We will not give, rent, sell or trade any of your Supplieral information.

How is the information used?

We and our Advertising Consultants will use the information we collect to track and monitor the usage of our web site, the response to advertisements carried on our web site and help us understand the patterns of site visitors. This will help us operate the web site more effectively and also assist us in business processes such as accounting, marketing and record keeping.

What security will exist - particularly for credit card information?

We are strongly committed to protecting the privacy of your Supplieral data as well as to respecting the Data Protection Acts of 1984 and 1998.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the personal information that we collect and process about you. The measures we use are designed to provide a level of security appropriate to the risk of processing your personal information. We monitor our systems for possible vulnerabilities and attacks. However, we cannot guarantee 100% security of any information that you send us.

We do not take or store your card details on our platform. When you are asked for card details to make payment, the box you are entering those details into is powered by Stripe, our secure payment gateway. Their full privacy statement can be found here.

How can I access my supplieral information?

You may request access to all your Supplieral information that we collect on line and maintain in our database by contacting us.

Can I have my information held by you destroyed?
  • There is an unsubscribe option on all the marketing emails which are sent out to users. If you select this option no Supplieral information will be stored and if you are an existing client any Supplieral information which we hold will then be destroyed.

  • If you hold a client or instructor account with us, you can request deletion of your account by contacting us.

 

What about changes to the privacy policy?

We reserve the right to modify or amend this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. Details of any changes will be posted at the top of the Privacy Policy web page.
