Overnight oats know no bounds when it comes to simple, healthy grab and go food. The variations are never ending, you can make 4 days worth in 5 minutes one evening and keep them in the fridge for the rest of the week. We're even fans of coming home and grabbing them for dinner if we're late and don't want to cook; just add plenty of fruit (bananas can be helpful to promote sleep), some nuts for crunch and save yourself the washing up.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats

  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder

  • 1 1/2 tsps chia seeds

  • 220mls unsweetened almond or oat milk

  • 1 cup strawberries (sliced)

Preparation

  1. Add the oats, cocoa powder, chia seeds and milk to a large container and mix well to combine. Seal and place in the fridge overnight, or for at least 8 hours.

  2. Remove the oats from the fridge, divide into portions and top with the fresh strawberries.

Leftovers: Keep refrigerated in an airtight container for up to four days. Enjoy cold, or warm up in a pan with as dash or two of milk to loosen.

Like it sweeter: Add a dash of maple syrup to taste (you can do this as you make it, or as you serve it).
